Code of Conduct

Bluesin’ Brussels is a space for connection, music, and dance. By joining a Bluesin’ Brussels event, we take part in a shared culture shaped by presence, respect, and care. By participating to our event you agree to respect the following values:

Inclusivity

We welcome one another as we are.
We celebrate diversity across physical abilities, levels of experience, backgrounds, ages, gender identities, sexual orientations, ethnicities, and body types.
Each person’s presence adds depth and richness to our community.

Respect

We meet one another with care and attention.
We stay aware of personal boundaries, physical and emotional, and of the comfort of those around us.
On the dance floor, we listen to our partners, adapt our movements, and remain mindful of the shared space we move through together.

Dancing roles

We choose our roles freely.
In blues dancing, roles are a form of expression and dialogue, independent of gender, appearance, or expectation.

Consent

We dance through consensual connection.
We ensure shared willingness before dancing together or entering closer connections.
Consent may be expressed verbally or non-verbally and can naturally change as the dance unfolds.

Personal Care

We create a pleasant close embrace.
By looking after personal hygiene, we support a fresh, relaxed, and enjoyable dance experience for everyone.

Please feel free to reach out to Sofia, Greg, Sylwia or Sergio if you are facing or witnessing any disrespect of our values.
